Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Catering Captain to lead our catering service team with enthusiasm and professionalism. Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all aspects of catering operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service delivery.
Lead and train catering staff to ensure high standards of customer service, food handling, and safety protocols are maintained.
Manage inventory control for catering supplies, ingredients, and equipment to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring quality consistency and adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, billing, and cash handling with accuracy.
Coordinate with clients to understand event requirements, customize menus, and ensure timely setup and breakdown of catering events.
Monitor shift management schedules, assign tasks efficiently, and supervise staff performance during busy periods.
Uphold food safety standards in compliance with health regulations; conduct regular kitchen inspections and staff training on sanitation practices.
Assist in budgeting efforts by controlling costs related to food production, staffing, and supplies while maintaining excellent service levels.
Support team development through interviewing potential staff members, conducting training sessions, and fostering a positive work environment.

Experience

Proven experience in food service management within casual dining or fine dining establishments; catering experience preferred.
Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management practices.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling experience essential.
Knowledge of inventory control procedures, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
Experience managing shift schedules, budgeting responsibilities, and staff training initiatives.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle client interactions professionally and efficiently.
