Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Engage with customers, providing exceptional service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and making recommendations.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and helping with restocking as needed.
- Support team members during busy shifts to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Uphold health and safety regulations to create a safe environment for both staff and guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or a quick service/fast food restaurant is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with an ability to engage positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively in a bustling environment.
- A team player attitude with a willingness to learn about culinary techniques and restaurant operations.
