The Ready-To-Eat Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Production Manager in the daily operations of Sorting of Macadamia Nuts, Cannery Area, Value Added Production and Sanitation.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assignments and duties are based on the needs of production
- Lead and direct all production efforts and employees. Supervise and oversee day to day operations, including paperwork needed for Pre-Op, Sanitation and Production produced.
- Create all paperwork for cook/salt/product run/pallet tags/bag labels/box labels for each day of production.
- Ensure that the company policies, food safety and other regulatory policies and procedures are followed by the employees.
- Verify packaging, labeling, and date codes of the products produced on various production and packaging lines and ensure that the records are accurate and complete as expected on a daily basis.
- Work with Quality to revise/update/generate SOPs, forms, and logs when needed.
- Maintain production equipment and machinery in working condition.
- Assist in Traceability exercise/mock recalls on packaging, finished goods and ingredients annually and participate in third-party audit and regulatory inspections.
- Assist and trace products through necessary documentation in the event of an emergency or non-emergency situation.
- Oversee Daily and Weekly Sanitation Process and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
· Food Manufacturing / Processing Experience highly Preferred
· 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing, production processing, and packaging.
· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
· Excellent organizational skills, including time management, multitasking, and computer skills
· Advanced computer skills in Excel & Word
· Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
