Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team to achieve sales goals. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to foster a positive work environment while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Duties
- Lead and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Oversee daily operations, including cash handling, inventory management, and food preparation.
- Train new employees on company policies, procedures, and best practices in food service and retail operations.
- Implement upselling techniques to enhance sales performance and improve customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining cleanliness in the café or grocery store setting.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining area for customers.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Analyze retail math to track sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a grocery store or café environment is preferred.
- Strong skills in cash handling and familiarity with point-of-sale systems, particularly Aloha POS.
- Knowledge of food service operations, including food preparation techniques and safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to perform basic retail math calculations for sales tracking and reporting.
- A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing the overall customer experience.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
