Job Overview
We are looking for a professional and experienced individual able to prepare and oversee our second shift operations in our food processing plant. You will help lead a team of cooks and technicians to prep and process product, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and maintaining efficient workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing along with excellent leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily food processing operations during the second shift, ensuring all activities adhere to food safety standards.
- Lead and motivate a team of production workers to meet quality and productivity goals.
- Monitor sanitation practices and ensure proper cleaning procedures are followed to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery; coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed with mechanical staff.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure all team members are trained on proper procedures including forklift operation and sanitation standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to production, quality checks, and safety compliance.
Qualifications
- 2+ years Cook / Kitchen operations experience
- 1 year Supervisory experience
- Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, industrial cooking, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage.
- Interested in learning from an experienced cook, and growing with an exciting company
- Detail oriented - able to follow guidelines and recipes
- Positive Attitude and Team Player. Attention to detail, calm under pressure, and good communication and numerical skill
- Ability to lift, move, and or carry items of up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in conditions of heightened heat and humidity
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
