Position Summary
The Dining Room Server is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing attentive, friendly, professional food and beverage service in accordance with IHG brand standards and service excellence practices. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming dining atmosphere while ensuring all service standards, policies, and procedures are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities

Greet guests promptly with a warm, professional demeanor and provide water, coffee, or other beverages upon arrival.

Present menus, answer questions regarding menu items and preparation, and make thoughtful food and beverage recommendations

Accurately take and record guest orders and communicate them clearly to kitchen

Deliver food and beverages in a timely and polished manner, ensuring proper presentation and guest satisfaction.

Monitor tables throughout the dining experience, anticipating guest needs and responding quickly to requests.

Complete guest check processing, including presenting the bill, handling payments, and following proper cash-handling procedures.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned service areas and complete all side work as directed by management.

Replenish supplies and prepare the dining area for upcoming service periods.

Report to scheduled shifts on time, in proper uniform, and in compliance with company policies.

Adhere to all company standards, safety regulations, and service procedures.

Support team members and complete additional duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with diverse guests.

Basic math skills for processing payments and handling transactions accurately.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely lift and carry trays and other service items.

Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling dishes, glassware, and payment processing.
Physical Requirements
This position involves light physical work, including:

Lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently

Standing and walking for prolonged periods throughout the shift

Performing repetitive motions involving hands and arms
Work Environment
Primarily an indoor position with protection from outdoor weather conditions. Exposure to temperature changes may occur.
