Responsibilities
- Prepare food items efficiently and accurately following established recipes and food safety guidelines
- Operate POS systems, handle cash transactions, and manage orders seamlessly
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of the truck’s kitchen area, dining space, and equipment in accordance with sanitation standards
- Manage food handling procedures responsibly to ensure freshness, safety, and quality of all offerings
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping ingredients, assembling dishes, and restocking supplies during shifts
- Support with bussing tables or clearing orders to ensure a smooth flow of service during busy periods
Experience
- Prior experience in food preparation or food service roles within quick service or fast-food restaurants is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in processing transactions
- Background in culinary arts or restaurant experience provides a strong foundation for success in this role
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is essential
- Experience working in retail or grocery store environments can be beneficial for understanding customer needs and basic math skills for cash handling
- Previous roles involving serving, cashiering, or bussing contribute to excellent customer interaction skills
