Job Summary
Join our dynamic food processing facility as a Sanitation Worker dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. In this vital role, you will ensure that all areas of the plant meet strict sanitation and hygiene protocols in compliance with FDA regulations, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices). Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of production lines, equipment, packaging areas, and facility surfaces following established protocols aligned with food safety standards.
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and tools, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and HACCP guidelines.
- Conduct routine inspections of the plant to identify sanitation issues or potential contamination risks, documenting findings accurately.
- Assist in the disassembly and reassembly of machinery for cleaning purposes, applying mechanical knowledge to ensure proper handling.
- Maintain cleanliness in storage areas, including proper disposal of waste and sanitation of storage containers to prevent cross-contamination.
- Support food safety initiatives by adhering to CGMP standards during all sanitation activities.
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule sanitation activities that minimize downtime while maximizing food safety compliance.
- Keep detailed records of sanitation procedures, inspections, and maintenance activities for audit purposes.
- Completion of industrial sanitation activites such as dry pick up, scrubbing,rinsing and sanitizing.
- Participate in pre-operational inspection to verify cleaniness and operational standards
Experience
- Prior experience working in a food processing plant or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations related to food safety, HACCP principles, and CGMP practices is highly desirable.
- Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with equipment disassembly and cleaning processes is a plus.
- Basic math skills for record keeping and measurement tasks are necessary.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is preferred but can be provided upon hire.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards in a fast-paced setting.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
