In this role, you will be the friendly face at the checkout counter, ensuring smooth transactions while providing exceptional customer service. Your attention to detail and positive attitude will help foster customer loyalty and drive sales. Whether handling cash, processing product demos, or assisting with merchandising, your contributions will be vital to our store’s success and vibrant atmosphere.
Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and swiftly
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information with enthusiasm
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision and professionalism
- Assist with product demos to showcase features and benefits to customers
- Upsell relevant products and accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure an inviting shopping environment
- Support inventory management through stocking, inventory checks, and stock replenishment activities
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when taking orders or answering inquiries over the phone
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing concerns promptly and courteously
- Assist in training new team members or supervising junior staff when needed
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Previous supervising experience in retail or grocery store environments preferred
- Strong communication skills in both bilingual settings (if applicable) and in-person interactions
- Ability to perform basic math quickly for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
- Experience with retail sales techniques including upselling and product demos
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
