Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the bar team, including hiring, training, coaching, and developing staff to ensure top-tier service delivery.
- Oversee food preparation processes related to bar menu items, ensuring consistency and quality in every drink and dish served.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for accurate cash handling, order processing, and sales reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and food handling regulations across all bar operations.
- Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment.
- Maintain a vibrant atmosphere by supervising food production, beverage presentation, and ensuring cleanliness standards are met at all times.
- Conduct staff training sessions on customer service excellence, food safety practices, and operational procedures.
- Support budgeting efforts by tracking sales performance and controlling costs related to food and beverage operations.
- Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing a bar or restaurant environment with supervisory responsibilities in hospitality or food service management.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within casual dining or fine dining settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Demonstrated skills in inventory control, cash handling, and budget management within the food industry.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in staff training, team management, interviewing, and development of personnel.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures essential for maintaining high-quality service.
- Prior experience in managing shifts in fast-paced environments like quick service restaurants or catering operations is highly desirable.
