Key Responsibilities - Walk Fields of customers oftenin order tomonitorcrop health andidentifyissues to make recommendations of herbicide,pesticideor mechanical control methods.
- Perform yield estimates throughout the growing season to providecustomerwith projections.
- Establish routes schedules and other organizational tools
- Use knowledge of growth stages in cropsin order topredict potential problems during that stage of the growing season
- Identifyand diagnose types of infestation or disease.
- Remain up to date on latest chemistry and technology for enhanced crop protection (such as drones or apps).
- Report to crop advisor status of fields and make recommendations.
Typical EducationHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Relevant Experience - Some knowledge of agriculture and/or horticulture.
- A farm background (or some experience on a farm) and/or in the landscape/golf industry preferred.
- Skills: Ability tooperate4-wheel drive and/or ATV vehicles off road or on farm roads.
- Basic computer knowledge andproficiencyin MS Office programs.
Other Information - Preferably enrolled in courses working towards PCA license orotheragricultural program
