REPCO, corporate office located in Salina, KS, is seeking a Chlorine Technician to provide technical-service expertise on the installation or troubleshooting of our industrial gas chlorine systems used in the food manufacturing process. This is a full-time that requires approximately at least 50% travel (occasionally up to 70%, depending upon business needs). The Chlorine Technician is REPCO’s industry expert on our chlorine systems across the U.S. and Latin America providing technical support and training to our customer base, assisting with the design and installation of new systems, and adherence to routine maintenance and annual rebuild schedules.
Working with the Food Safety/Compliance Manager the Chlorine Technician will ensure our systems and procedures follow applicable OSHA regulations and Chlorine Institute for Safety in development of Process Safety Management (PSM) training.
Essential Functions
- Skillfully and precisely build, rebuild, install, troubleshoot, and maintain REPCO chlorine systems in the field as required.
- Maintain all required onsite customer training demands to ensure the successful operation, maintenance, and record-keeping of the customer’s chlorine systems.
- Become a student of the business and our customers to evolve our technical relationship to meet their equipment needs.
- Point of contact expert for REPCO for chlorine customers, in which quick turnaround time in response and resolution to our customers to ensure each customer is treated as a top priority.
- Will assist the Mill Service team in the field as needed.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
- Must be able to travel 50% -70% of travel throughout the U.S. and Latin America (US Passport required), depending on business needs.
- Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), applicable HACCP principles, laws, and statutory regulations/guidelines in alignment with ISO 17025, FSSC 22000, monitoring CCPs, record-keeping, and OSHA standards.
- Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Engineering such as Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Aerospace, Civil, or related engineering degree program from a four-year college, or would consider 5 years of a combination of related experience and education with 3+ years of that experience in chlorine maintenance or related industry.
- Base knowledge of Programmable logic control (PLC) function for troubleshooting.
- Understanding of process controls such as pressure, flow, levels, and speed.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Must have CAD software working experience.
- Must have good computer knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Platforms.
- Familiarity with ISO 17025, OSHA, and HACCP.
- Mechanical/Engineering industrial food industry experience will be preferred.
