Seasonal Summer Work in Southeast Alaska
June 10th - September 7th, 2026
Job Role and Responsibilities:
· To provide service of delivering dishes/meals and extracting them in a timely and professional manner. The typical meals expected, but not limited to, are the following:
o BREAKFAST: Continental breakfast bar and a hot made to order breakfast daily for Lodge’s guests
o LUNCH: Boxed lunches of a sandwich/wrap, snacks, salads, etc. Guests may remain in house or return for lunch (3-Courses – soup/salad, main and dessert)
o DINNER: 4-course sit down dinner: 3-4 Appetizers (buffet style); starter, main entrée and dessert all plated and served.
· Expected to ensure that any special dietary restrictions or allergies are known about.
· Responsible for the Great Room – this entitles but is not limited to stocking all snacks, sodas, coffee supplies, etc., ensuring that the sitting areas are clean and tidy, creating centerpieces or visually appealing details throughout the room, selecting appropriate music to be playing during meal times.
· Follow the outline details of responsibilities in the server instruction sheet (attached).
· May be required to assist with preparing lunches to go every morning.
· Responsible to communicate with the Chef regarding any food and/or beverage purchases that are needed.
· At the end of each service, ensures that front room is prepared for next sitting.
· Adheres to the Federal Safety standards and State and Federal Health Regulations.

· Must present yourself in a professional and courteous manner, maintain a clean appearance at all times when guests are in house and when representing the Lodge.
· Must be team-oriented.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
· Excellent guest relation skills – Able to anticipate guests’ needs
· Hospitality and/or Customer Service industry experience
· Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously with professionalism and efficiency.
· Self-motivated to find practical solutions for situations that may arise.
· Act as a team player with all levels of the staff and to lead by example.
· Willing and enthusiastic to embrace the rural island lifestyle and culture
· Flexibility – there are times when team members may need to perform other duties outside their described responsibilities.
General Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
· Ability to work in standing position for extensive periods of time, climb stairs, bend/twist at the waist
· Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
· Use hands to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects
Compensation:
· Salary: $3750-$4900(USD) monthly based on ability to perform all responsibilities
· Travel to and from the Lodge, upon completion of the operational season
· Room and Lodging and all meals provided for you (Only living expense will be personal items i.e.: toiletries, clinic visits, medicines, special food/beverage requests)
· Laundry facilities (including detergent) are provided along with bedding and towels.

Additional Terms:
· If the Employee resigns prior to fulfilling contract, the Employee is obligated to leave the property within 24 hours of giving notice at the Employee's own expense.
· If the Employee is terminated after failing two evaluation reviews and/or receiving two or more written warning notices, the Employee is obligated to leave the property within 24 hours at the Employee's own expense.
· Immediate termination will occur at the expense of the Employee if they are caught stealing from the Employer’s place of business, a guest and/or a fellow employee. The following activities will lead to a written warning notice, but not limited to: arriving to work late multiple times without notification, coming to work drunk or under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, disrespecting any guest, employee/owner or contract labor. If the Employee is terminated for any other cause or reason by the Employer, the Employer will provide the return ticket to the employee for departure within 24 hours of termination.
· All boarding and meals will be provided at the expense of the employer while at the Employer's property. We will also pay for one 50lb box of fish, processing and freight from Angoon to Juneau (you are more than welcome to bring more home if caught, but at the Lodge’s rate of cost - $4.75 per pound inclusive of processing and freight).
