Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Shift Lead to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced, quick service restaurant environment. As a Shift Lead, you will be the driving force behind daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food quality standards, and supervising team members to deliver a seamless dining experience. Your leadership will inspire staff, uphold safety protocols, and manage operational tasks efficiently to keep the restaurant running smoothly during your shift. Duties
- Oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service.
- Lead and motivate team members by providing clear direction, training, and support to foster a positive work environment.
- Ensure food preparation and cooking meet safety standards and quality expectations, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems TOAST POS for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Control inventory levels by monitoring stock, conducting regular inventory checks, and assisting with food management procedures.
- Supervise food handling practices, ensuring compliance with health codes and sanitation standards.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Assist with staff interviewing, training & development initiatives, and performance evaluations.
- Support budgeting efforts by managing labor costs and minimizing waste during your shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas throughout your shift.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen management within a quick service or fast food restaurant setting.
- Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience in hospitality or restaurant environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems: cash handling experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and food handling procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Prior experience in managing inventory control, food production, and food industry operations preferred.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to train staff effectively and foster teamwork.
- 4 years Experience in Quick Service Restaurant; catering experience is beneficial. Seasonal
