Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, fostering a positive team environment focused on collaboration and excellence.
Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and presentation to ensure consistency with quality standards.
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in accordance with health department guidelines.
Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
Train staff on food handling procedures, safety protocols, and customer service excellence to enhance team performance.
Assist with shift management by coordinating schedules, resolving operational issues promptly, and ensuring efficient service delivery.

Requirements

Proven experience in kitchen management within quick service or fast food restaurants; fine dining or casual dining experience is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
Demonstrated ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, and cost management effectively.
Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; proficiency in cash handling is essential.
Leadership skills with previous supervising or team management experience; capable of training and developing staff.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interview candidates and evaluate performance effectively.
Familiarity with hospitality management principles including shift management, food production, catering, and event service such as banquets.
Knowledge of food industry regulations related to safety, sanitation, and quality assurance.
Hospitality or hotel experience is a plus; previous assistant manager or restaurant management experience is preferred.
