Great Opportunity to work at a new all-seasons resort in Northern Catskills - Wylder Windham Hotel.
We are looking for a dedicated, passionate, and skilled person to become a part of our pre-opening kitchen team for our Babbler's Restaurant. Our four-season resort will offer 110 hotel rooms, 1 restaurant, 1 Bakery with 20 acres of land alongside the Batavia Kill River, our family-friendly, all-season resort is filled with endless opportunities. This newly reimagined property offers banquet, wedding, and event facilities. We are looking for someone who is both willing to roll up their sleeves and work hard and has a desire to produce a first-class experience for our guests. Looking for applicants who are positive, upbeat, team-oriented, and a people person.

Must work weekends, nights, holidays and be flexible with schedule. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work a physical Labor Job.

Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation:This includes tasks like chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and preparing sauces and marinades.
- Cooking:Operating various cooking equipment (ovens, grills, fryers, etc.) and applying different cooking techniques to prepare dishes.
- Recipe Following:Accurately following established recipes and adjusting them based on customer requests or dietary restrictions.
- Food Safety and Hygiene:Maintaining a clean and sanitized workspace, following proper food handling procedures, and ensuring food quality and freshness.
- Order Management:Receiving and processing customer orders, communicating with front-of-house staff, and expediting food preparation.
- Equipment Maintenance:Ensuring kitchen equipment is properly maintained and reporting any issues to management.
- Inventory Management:Monitoring inventory levels, assisting with food storage, and placing orders for ingredients.
- Teamwork:Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely food production.
- Presentation:Ensuring food is plated attractively and meets established standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Cooking Skills:Proficiency in various cooking techniques, including grilling, frying, baking, and sautéing.
- Knowledge of Food Safety:Understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Attention to Detail:Ability to follow recipes precisely and ensure food quality and presentation.
- Ability to Work Under Pressure:Maintaining a calm and efficient demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork and Communication:Effectively communicating with other kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel.
- Physical Stamina:The ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
