Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems such as TOAST accurately for order processing and cash handling.
- Take customer orders at the counter or drive-thru, providing friendly service and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Manage cash register transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food prep zones in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist with food safety practices such as proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment.
- Support other team members by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations during busy hours.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or fast-food environments is preferred; culinary or restaurant experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order entry and sales processing.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks quickly while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and ability to upsell menu items confidently.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced quick service or fast-food restaurant setting.
