Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring food quality, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff activities, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels to minimize waste.
- Train and develop kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and customer service skills.
- Manage daily operations of the kitchen, including shift management and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Utilize POS systems (Aldelo) for cash handling and order processing.
- Collaborate with management to create menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Monitor food production processes to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism to enhance guest satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking across various cuisines.
- Familiarity with quick service, fast food, casual dining, or fine dining environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Experience with budgeting, cost control, and inventory management is essential.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of training and developing team members.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
- Previous experience in restaurant management or hospitality management is highly desirable.
