Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations at our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, controlling inventory, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The Restaurant Manager will play a crucial role in driving the success of our restaurant by implementing efficient processes and fostering a positive team environment.
Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to ensure high-quality service standards
- Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Handle cash transactions and manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Control inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor food costs to optimize profitability
- Ensure timely and accurate order processing in quick service & fast food settings as well as fine dining environments
- Lead team meetings, conduct interviews for new hires, and participate in staff training programs
- Monitor customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Coordinate with kitchen management on food production, catering events, banquets, and bar service
- Implement policies for food handling, safety standards, and quality control measures
- Manage shift operations efficiently to meet business goals while maintaining a positive work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality management roles with supervising experience
- Strong knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, food handling, and kitchen management
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience required
- Background in culinary arts or culinary experience preferred; casual dining or fine dining experience advantageous
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train & develop staff effectively
- Demonstrated ability in inventory control, budgeting, and food cost management
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Experience with shift management in quick service & fast food restaurants or similar environments
- Ability to oversee multiple facets of restaurant operations including catering, bar services, and event management
- Strong communication skills with experience in interviewing and team management
- Knowledge of food production processes including cooking techniques and food preparation standards
