Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong background in restaurant management. This role involves supporting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will play a key role in staff training, inventory control, and fostering a positive work environment.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth functioning.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient order processing and cash handling.
- Conduct inventory control to manage stock levels and reduce waste.
- Train and develop staff on food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing for peak times.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints.
- Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager on budgeting and financial planning.
- Support in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or as an Assistant Manager in a quick service or fine dining environment.
- Strong knowledge of food service management practices including food safety standards.
- Experience with inventory control and budgeting processes.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and supervise a diverse team.
- Proficiency in POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) is preferred.
- Background in culinary arts or kitchen management is advantageous.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
