Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to Subway standards, ensuring freshness and quality at all times
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and payments
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and upselling menu items to enhance their experience
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change and totals
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining area, and food prep stations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food handling duties such as bussing tables, restocking supplies, and supporting kitchen operations during busy hours
- Uphold food safety standards by following proper sanitation procedures and food handling protocols in a quick service & fast food restaurant environment
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or a similar food industry role is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Background in retail math, cash handling, and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Prior restaurant experience or working in a café or grocery store setting is beneficial to understand food service operations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and serve with enthusiasm
- Knowledge of sanitation practices, food safety standards, and basic kitchen operations is highly valued
