Responsibilities
- Prepare sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to company recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation are top-notch
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner to take orders and answer questions about menu options
- Operate POS system for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food preparation zones in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining high standards of food quality
- Upsell additional items like drinks or snacks to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Assist with food handling, stocking supplies, and bussing tables to keep the restaurant inviting and efficient
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with quick service or fast-food restaurant operations is advantageous
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order accuracy are essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is highly valued
- Strong customer service skills combined with excellent time management are key to success in this role
- Restaurant or grocery store experience can provide a solid foundation for understanding food industry expectations
