We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced, quick service, and casual dining environment. Duties
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety protocols, proper handling techniques, and efficient food production processes.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Lead shift management by coordinating staff schedules, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth service during busy hours.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and sanitation procedures.
- Assist in budgeting efforts by controlling costs related to labor, supplies, and food production while maximizing profitability.
- Foster a team-oriented environment through staff training, performance evaluations, and ongoing development initiatives.
- Support customer service excellence by addressing guest concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming dining experience.
- Collaborate with other departments such as bar or catering services to deliver seamless hospitality experiences.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within quick service or casual dining settings.
- Strong supervisory skills with previous supervising or management experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and health regulations.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team training & development and staff interviewing skills.
- Ability to manage inventory control effectively while maintaining quality standards.
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, and food industry operations is highly desirable.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for hospitality management.
- Previous experience in fine dining or banquet settings is a plus; hotel or catering background is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle shift management efficiently under pressure. Pay: $53,902.22 - $54,914.50 per year
