Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations during your shift, ensuring all team members perform their duties effectively and efficiently
- Lead and motivate staff by providing clear direction, training, and support to foster a positive work environment
- Manage food preparation processes, ensuring quality standards are met consistently and food safety protocols are followed diligently
- Utilize POS systems for accurate order processing, cash handling, and transaction management
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock control to minimize waste and optimize food costs
- Supervise food production and kitchen activities to ensure timely service without compromising quality or safety standards
- Assist with staff scheduling, interviewing candidates, and participating in staff training & development initiatives
- Enforce health and safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction
- Support management in budgeting, food cost control, and operational improvements
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and managing fast-paced restaurant environments
- Strong knowledge of POS systems for efficient transactions
- Excellent leadership skills with prior supervising or management experience in casual dining or quick service settings
- Skilled in inventory control, food safety practices, and kitchen management techniques
- Exceptional customer service abilities with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Ability to train staff effectively in food handling, service standards, and operational procedures
- Experience with catering, banquets or hotel food service is a plus
- Capable of managing shift responsibilities independently while supporting team collaboration
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and food production management tools
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
