Responsibilities
- Assist experienced meat cutters in preparing and cutting various types of meat according to established standards.
- Support the packaging of meat products to ensure freshness and quality for customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Learn proper food handling techniques, including storage, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Help with inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages or issues.
- Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about products and assisting with selections when needed.
- Follow all safety protocols during food production and meat processing to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of food production, preparation, and handling is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong interest in the food industry, especially in meat cutting, culinary arts, or kitchen operations.
- Good knife skills or interest in developing them through training sessions.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work safely with food products.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and assisting customers.
- Previous experience in food handling or restaurant work is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
