Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Supervisor to lead our culinary team and ensure the smooth operation of our food service establishment. In this role, you will oversee daily kitchen activities, manage staff, uphold food safety standards, and deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your leadership will drive efficiency, maintain high-quality food production, and foster a positive team environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
- Oversee the training and development of kitchen staff, including onboarding new team members and conducting ongoing skills enhancement.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery, including shift management and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize POS systems such as TOAST POS for order processing and logistics
- Lead staff scheduling, interviewing candidates, and supervising team members to foster a motivated and efficient workforce.
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within quick service or fast casual restaurants.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with a strong background in managing restaurant or hospitality teams.
- Familiarity with POS systems like TOAST POS for transaction processing and reporting.
- Experience in inventory control, budgeting, and food management practices in casual dining or fine dining environments.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and ServSafe standards
- Prior roles involving staff training & development, shift management, and customer service excellence.
