Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. Duties
- Supervise all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
- Oversee the use of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Lead staff training initiatives to develop culinary skills, uphold food safety standards, and promote excellent customer service.
- Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff, assigning duties, and ensuring smooth operations during busy hours.
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with restaurant management on budgeting, cost control, and menu development to maximize profitability.
- Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a skilled and motivated culinary team.
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork and excellence.
- Support catering events, banquet services, or bar operations as needed to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with a track record of training staff and managing teams effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS; experience with cash handling is essential.
- Background in managing inventory control, food safety protocols, and food production processes.
- Experience in casual dining or quick service restaurants; Japanese ramen restaurant experience is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and foster a collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of budgeting practices related to food industry operations; ability to analyze costs and optimize resources.
