Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff members. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of staff during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide training and support to new team members on food handling, kitchen management, and customer service protocols.
- Manage inventory control, ensuring stock levels are maintained and orders are placed as necessary.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for order management and payment processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health standards.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Assist in preparing food items as needed, demonstrating culinary skills in a quick-service fast food environment.
- Collaborate with management on scheduling, staffing needs, and performance evaluations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a quick service fast food restaurant or similar hospitality setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and kitchen management techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes to manage stock effectively.
- Proficiency in using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
- Background in culinary arts or hospitality management is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
