Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Assistant Manager to join our vibrant restaurant team. Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures
Supervise staff performance, providing coaching, training, and development to foster a motivated team
Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations
Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and reconciliation
Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols across all areas of the restaurant
Support shift management by coordinating staff schedules, supervising service flow, and resolving customer concerns promptly
Assist in managing budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing operational efficiency
Conduct staff interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a skilled team
Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service and fostering a positive hospitality atmosphere

Skills

Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within quick service or fast food environments
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling procedures
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training & development and team management
Solid understanding of inventory control, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently during shift management in casual dining or fine dining settings
Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences
Experience with budgeting, food production, catering, bar operations or hotel hospitality is advantageous
Effective communication skills for interviewing candidates and supervising staff effectively
Knowledge of food industry regulations and hospitality best practices to ensure compliance
