Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and innovative R&D Manager specializing in Food Processing to lead our research and development initiatives. As an experienced R&D Manager or senior individual contributor you will oversee the creation and improvement of food products, ensuring they meet quality standards, safety regulations, and consumer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, reformulate, and improve products, ingredients, and packaging, taking them from concept to full-scale production.
Support efficiency initiatives in manufacturing by testing and implementing new formulations to reduce yield loss.
Manage R&D project portfolios, ensuring projects meet quality, safety, cost, and timeline requirements.
Ensure all new products comply with FDA, USDA, and food safety regulations, including nutritional labeling and ingredient safety.
Maintain detailed records of formulations, process specifications, and ingredient specifications.
Work with customers, Sales, Marketing, Production, and Purchasing to align product development with market trends and business goals.

Education, Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Food Science, Food Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in food innovation, research, or product development, with a solid record in project management.
Familiarity with Food Safety systems (HACCP, SQF), and regulatory guidelines.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Experience in frozen food with seafood preferred.
Strong analytical problem-solving, cross functional leadership, effective communication, and familiarity with food processing equipment.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
