Duties

Provide expert wine recommendations and tastings, guiding guests through our extensive wine selection and pairing options
Deliver attentive, friendly service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience
Assist with menu planning and suggest wine pairings that complement dishes, enhancing the overall culinary journey
Maintain thorough knowledge of the restaurant’s food offerings, including catering and banquet menus, to support sales and upselling efforts
Handle POS transactions accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
Uphold food safety standards by practicing proper food handling, serving techniques, and sanitation procedures
Contribute to a welcoming atmosphere by providing exceptional customer service, addressing guest inquiries promptly, and managing special requests with professionalism

Requirements

Proven restaurant experience with a focus on fine dining or upscale food service environments
Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, and beverage pairings; previous sommelier or culinary experience is highly desirable
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently and effectively
Experience in serving at banquets or catering events is a plus, demonstrating versatility in food service settings
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques to ensure guest safety and satisfaction
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
