Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Barback to support our bustling hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will assist bartenders and staff by maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and ensuring smooth operations during busy night shifts. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in food service, restaurant experience, or hospitality to grow within a dynamic team. The Barback plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the high standards of our establishment.
Duties
- Assist bartenders by restocking liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware efficiently throughout the shift
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and surfaces
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, including basic plating and garnishing
- Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes to ensure a clean environment
- Handle food and beverage items following proper food handling procedures
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions when required
- Ensure all supplies are organized and readily available for bartenders and servers
- Support catering events or banquet functions by setting up and breaking down stations as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred
- Experience working in nightclubs, banquet settings, or catering is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Background in food handling, bussing, serving, or bar support roles is beneficial
- Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure during night shifts
- Kitchen experience or hotel experience related to the food industry is desirable
- Customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude are essential
