Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic General Manager - Restaurant to lead our vibrant dining establishment. Duties
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management to ensure seamless daily performance
- Lead and motivate a diverse team of staff through effective training, coaching, and development initiatives to promote high standards of customer service and food quality
- Manage inventory control processes to minimize waste, optimize stock levels, and ensure the availability of ingredients and supplies
- Supervise kitchen operations, including food production, cooking techniques, and food safety compliance in line with industry standards
- Handle POS (Point of Sale) systems, Toast, for accurate cash handling, order processing, and sales tracking
- Implement shift management strategies to ensure proper staffing levels during peak hours while maintaining cost efficiency
- Conduct regular staff interviews for hiring new team members and participate in ongoing training & development programs to enhance team skills
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards to guarantee a safe dining environment for guests and staff
- Monitor customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly to uphold the restaurant’s reputation for excellent service
Skills
- Proven management experience within the food service industry, especially in quick service & fast food or casual dining environments
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary practices, and kitchen management
- Strong understanding of Toast POS system for efficient transaction processing
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience supervising teams in hospitality or restaurant settings
- Expertise in inventory control, food handling, and food safety protocols
- Ability to manage budgets effectively while controlling costs related to labor, supplies, and food production
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences
- Skilled in staff training & development with a track record of fostering team growth and engagement
- Experience with shift management, interviewing candidates, and implementing operational improvements
- Knowledge of hospitality management principles applicable to casual dining
- Familiarity with bar operations experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Current ServSafe Manager Certification
