Responsibilities
- Prepare and apply chocolate toppings to a variety of desserts, ensuring consistency and presentation quality
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the food preparation area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist with other food preparation tasks such as assembling desserts, decorating cakes, or handling ingredients as needed
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales transactions, including cash handling and processing payments accurately
- Manage time efficiently to meet production deadlines during busy service hours
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about desserts, and upselling additional treats or toppings
- Support overall food service operations by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring a clean workspace
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, food handling, or working in a quick service & fast food restaurant environment
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety standards within the food industry or café setting
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in bakery, café, or retail environments is a plus but not required
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations, serving techniques, and general food industry practices
