The Engineering Intern is responsible for providing administrative support to the Engineering Department.
This internship is structured to provide meaningful project work. Administrative tasks such as filing or data entry will be limited and will not exceed approximately 30-40% of the overall experience.
Pay Range: $21.00 - 23.00 per hour
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm (Flexible)
Schedule: Monday-Friday (Flexible)
Location: Walton, KY
Travel Requirements: None
Work Environment: In-Office
Core Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of the Project Manager.
- Do equipment research and capture data for lock-out Tag-out.
- Work on the computer entering data into excel spread sheets.
- Assist in creating the final LO/TO documents for specific pieces of equipment.
- Assist in developing Project Scope.
- Assist in developing technical procedures.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities.
- Ability to present a professional demeanor at all times.
- AutoCAD, Solid Works or other computer aided design experience required.
Education and/or Experience:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, preferably in Engineering, or a related field.
- Junior, senior or graduate standing preferred.
Additional Considerations:
- The internship will run for 12 to 16 weeks and will conclude with a final presentation to the leadership team, highlighting the intern's projects, contributions and key takeaways.
