Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Assist with food preparation tasks in the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities.
- Clear tables, bus tables (bussing), and maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Support food industry best practices by adhering to sanitation, food handling, and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to manage busy service periods efficiently through effective time management.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and courteously.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, quick service & fast-food restaurants, or café environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety protocols, and sanitation standards.
- Excellent communication skills for serving customers effectively and upselling menu items confidently.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately, including retail math concepts when applicable.
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team with good time management skills.
- Knowledge of food industry regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and safety standards is advantageous.
