Job Summary
The historic Howling Dog Saloon is looking for an Assistant Bar Manager to join our team as we revamp and breathe new life into this 100-year-old Northwoods favorite! Pay will be best in the area. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of bar operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and helping with events
- Day shifts Wednesday through Sunday, would have off Mondays & Tuesdays
- Manage cash handling processes accurately and efficiently during shifts
- Prepare and serve food (cook on staff), alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain an organized bar area, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Cover shift changes, bartending experience is a must
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Train and mentor new staff members on bartending techniques, drink recipes, and customer service best practices.
- Uphold the establishment’s standards of hospitality, professionalism, and teamwork.
Requirements
- Prior bartending or bar management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of various drink recipes, mixology techniques, and bar equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing
- Demonstrated ability in inventory control
- Experience with cash handling procedures and managing shift operations effectively
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
License/Certification:
- Bartender License (Preferred)
