The historic Howling Dog Saloon is looking for an Assistant Bar Manager to join our team as we revamp and breathe new life into this 100-year-old Northwoods favorite! Pay will be best in the area. Duties

Supervise and coordinate all aspects of bar operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and helping with events
Day shifts Wednesday through Sunday, would have off Mondays & Tuesdays
Manage cash handling processes accurately and efficiently during shifts
Prepare and serve food (cook on staff), alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain an organized bar area, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Cover shift changes, bartending experience is a must
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Train and mentor new staff members on bartending techniques, drink recipes, and customer service best practices.
Uphold the establishment’s standards of hospitality, professionalism, and teamwork.

Requirements

Prior bartending or bar management experience preferred
Strong knowledge of various drink recipes, mixology techniques, and bar equipment.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing
Demonstrated ability in inventory control
Experience with cash handling procedures and managing shift operations effectively
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week

License/Certification:

Bartender License (Preferred)
