This leadership role is critical to ensuring our districts food services program operates effectively and in full compliance with Massachusetts General Law (G.L. c71). Candidates with diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, class, and/or gender backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply.Essential Functions: The Director will oversee the strategic and operational health of the districts culinary and nutritional programs.Operational ManagementOversee all food service duties as defined by state law and district policyStrategic PlanningCollaborate with the Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations to establish and meet annual goals by October 1st.Compliance & AdministrationManage all food sales and Free/Reduced Price Lunch application.CommunicationMaintain professional and proactive communication with district staff and parents.Professional GrowthMaintain a commitment to industry standards and continued professional development.Work Year/CompensationThis position works a 200-day work year (180 school days plus 20 supplemental days).
Up to 10 days may be worked remotely (with documentation) to facilitate summer opening tasks, such as application processing and parent communication.
