Duties
- Operate and monitor various food processing equipment to ensure smooth production flow
- Follow detailed procedures for food handling, packaging, and labeling in accordance with FDA regulations and HACCP standards
- Conduct routine sanitation and cleaning of machinery and work areas to uphold strict hygiene standards
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure compliance with safety and quality specifications
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance on processing equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, including batch records and sanitation logs
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move ingredients and finished products within the plant
Requirements
- Prior experience in food processing, manufacturing, or a related food industry setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and food safety protocols is highly desirable
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on processing machinery
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for record keeping and quality assurance
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects safely, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for measurements, conversions, and quality checks
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is preferred
