Job description
We are looking for experienced sausage maker/meat cutter/butcher and someone who has hunting experience with wild game. Provides superior customer service. Prepares and cuts meat products in accordance with company guidelines on merchandise presentation, safety, sanitation, customer service and suggestive selling. Wrap, weigh, label and price cuts of meat. Shoot sausage and batch sausage.. Prepare and place meat cuts and products in display counter, so they will appear attractive and catch the shopper's eye. Cure, smoke, tenderize and preserve meat.Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers.Cut, trim, bone, tie, and grind meats, such as beef, pork, poultry, and fish, to prepare meat in cooking form.Estimate requirements and order or requisition meat supplies to maintain inventories.Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery, to ensure meat quality.Record quantity of meat received and issued to cooks and/or keep records of meat sales.Orders, stocks and displays all fresh meat, and poultry and prepackaged products. Uses professional cutlery, saws, cubers and grinders to process bulk meat and other duties as required.Must be 18 years of age. High school education preferred or equivalent of education and experience. Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift 75 pounds.Interested in this Position?
