Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist them in seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay them efficiently to the kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering, processing payments accurately, and providing correct change
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Support food preparation, bussing tables, and assisting with host/hostess duties when needed to ensure seamless service flow
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings, is highly preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse customer needs
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cashiering and inventory purposes
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous but not required; a passion for food industry excellence is essential
- Must possess good communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a team-oriented attitude
