Job Summary
Very small pub seeking an energetic and dynamic Restaurant/Bar Manager to help us take our Pub to the next level. In this role, you will be responsible for all daily operations, including food preparation, bar coverage, exceptional customer service, and maintaininghigh standards of food quality and safety. Your leadership will , foster a welcoming environment for guests, and drive the restaurant’s success through effective management and innovative hospitality practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the guest experience while managing all aspects of restaurant operations with enthusiasm and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including training, coaching, and evaluating team members to ensure excellent service delivery
- Food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards, food safety regulations, and proper handling procedures
- Manage daily shift operations, including scheduling, inventory control, and ensuring smooth flow of service in a fast-paced environment
- Utilize Toast POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
- Monitor food production and kitchen management to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation
- Control inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimize waste to optimize profitability
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Conduct staff training sessions on food handling, customer service excellence, and operational procedures
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure a positive dining experience
- Contribute to strategic planning for restaurant growth
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within the food industry, particularly in quick service or fast food restaurants; fine dining or casual dining experience is a plus
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
- Familiarity with Toast POS systems
- Demonstrated supervisory skills with experience in staff training & development and team management
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and health regulations
- Excellent customer service skills with a passion for hospitality excellence
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Experience with inventory control cost management strategies
- Previous experience in hotel or catering environments is advantageous; batender and server experience is a bonus
- Leadership qualities with strong communication skills; ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work culture
