Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Manager / Shift Leader to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Assist the restaurant manager in coordinating daily operations to ensure smooth service flow during shifts
- Lead and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy
- Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering, and waste reduction strategies
- Supervise staff training and development initiatives to enhance team performance and ensure adherence to food safety protocols
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and foster a welcoming environment for guests
- Monitor shift performance, manage staffing schedules, and ensure operational efficiency during busy periods
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management or supervisory roles within quick service or fast food restaurants
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen management
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions and reporting
- Experience in inventory control, budgeting, and food safety standards (including HACCP)
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training, interviewing, and team management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Casual dining or fine dining experience is preferred; hotel or catering background is a plus
- Must be flexible with shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
