Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager to oversee our busy restaurant. You will be responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in restaurant management and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role requires effective and professional leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to manage a diverse team while ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service.
Duties
- Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations, admin, staff hiring, training, inventory control, and guest service.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling procedures.
- Oversee shift management to maintain efficient workflow during peak hours while always maintaining Wage and Hour compliance.
- Train, mentor, and develop staff to enhance their skills and performance. Understand the importance of Corrective Actions and documentation.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to maintain optimal stock.
- Collaborate with the culinary team.
- Implement effective POS systems for seamless transaction processing and reporting, having an understanding of Toast POS is ideal.
- Plan and coordinate catering services for special events and private in-house events.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment that encourages teamwork and high morale among staff.
Skills
- Proven experience in managing casual plus dining or similar roles within the food industry.
- Full understanding of the importance in fostering a professional and safe work environment.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Excellent shift management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in hospitality management principles.
- Proficient in inventory control processes to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Familiarity with Toast POS systems for efficient transaction management.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on staff training and development.
- Experience in Events and catering services is a plus.
- A passion for Italian cuisine and culture is desirable.
- Must be familiar with CA and San Francisco employment laws. As well as a complete understanding of Wage and Hour compliance.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
