Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a dynamic food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive culinary experience, and a comprehensive understanding of restaurant management. This role is integral to maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while ensuring efficient kitchen workflows. The Kitchen Manager will lead a team of culinary and service staff, coordinate food production, and uphold all food safety and sanitation regulations.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste.
- Oversee food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen.
- Train and develop kitchen staff on proper food handling, safety procedures, and operational best practices.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking.
- Monitor shift operations to ensure timely service in a quick service & fast food restaurant or casual dining setting.
- Assist in budgeting, labor scheduling, and cost control initiatives to optimize operational efficiency.
- Lead staff recruitment efforts including interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members.
- Collaborate with front-of-house management to enhance overall customer experience and resolve any service issues promptly.
- Implement training & development programs to foster team growth and improve performance standards.
Experience
- Proven management experience within the food industry, ideally in restaurant management or hospitality management roles.
- Extensive culinary background with expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food production.
- Prior supervisory experience supervising kitchen staff or team management roles in casual dining, fine dining, catering, or banquet settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions and inventory tracking.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and health regulations.
- Experience with budgeting, shift management, inventory control, and cost analysis within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively and foster a positive team culture.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
