Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager - Restaurant to lead our NEW dining establishment Snapper's Bar & Grill at Raystown Golf Resort. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all restaurant operations, including food preparation, kitchen management, and front-of-house service to ensure seamless daily functioning.
- Supervise and train staff across various roles such as servers, cooks, bartenders, and support personnel to foster a high-performing team dedicated to outstanding customer service.
- Oversee inventory control and food safety procedures, maintaining optimal stock levels while adhering to health regulations and quality standards.
- Manage POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling, order processing, and sales tracking.
- Implement shift management strategies to optimize staffing levels, reduce waste, and maximize efficiency during peak hours.
- Conduct staff interviews, training & development sessions to enhance skills and promote professional growth within the team.
- Ensure compliance with food handling regulations, safety protocols, and sanitation standards across all operational areas.
- Monitor budget adherence and control costs related to food production, labor, and supplies to support profitability goals.
- Foster a welcoming environment that emphasizes exceptional customer service, hospitality excellence, and guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with culinary teams on menu development, food presentation standards, and catering or banquet services when applicable.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management within quick service & fast food or casual dining environments.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus.
- Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated success in staff training & development; previous assistant manager or supervisory roles preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; proficiency in cash handling and sales reconciliation.
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
- Solid understanding of inventory control, food safety standards (including HACCP), and budgeting principles.
- Experience supervising diverse teams in hospitality settings such as bars or catering services is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interview candidates effectively and manage shift transitions smoothly.
