- The Director of Sales Operations, Strategy and Execution, has complete responsibility for coordinating, leading and executing the area's operating plan. The Director of Sales Operations will lead a team of approximately 8 - 12 employees and be expected to manage Area Sales priorities, executional KPI pacing and growth plans for their area.
- A successful Director of Sales Operations will have strong leadership skills and the ability to drive success through cross-functional partners. They should have a balance of strong financial and technical skills, operations and sales experience, and stakeholder and distributor management.
- This role is remote, covering from Ohio to the West Coast (multiple time zones)
- Travel will be required for certain business needs, occasional customer, team and company events.
What you will do
Principal Responsibilities:
Lead the coordination and execution of the operating plan for the year
Provide the customer teams with period and quarterly data by customer to deliver weekly forecast
Oversee the data governance (internal and external) and analysis to improve the accuracy of the forecast
Responsible to execute on new and/or improved tools needed to drive efficiencies for field execution teams
Manage a team of Business Development Managers, Retail Operations Managers, Inventory Managers, Key Account Managers
Own the Integrated Growth Planning process across all customers
Responsible for the implementation of customer specific opportunities and key growth drivers

Job Complexity / Scope:
Lead a team of approximately 8 12 employees
Serve as coordinating funnel for information and priorities in to and out of the areas
Consolidate and operationalize division sales and execution priorities into their area and provide feedback on progress and gaps to division on execution
Organize operating and communication cadence within area to improve efficiency and unlock growth
Align Sales and Retail Execution to ensure cohesion within Planning, Selling, and Executing windows
Manage multiple stakeholder priorities with ability to manage conflicting initiatives
Balance the working relationship and field perspective with customer teams, communications, warehouse operations, inventory logistics and legal when necessary
Lead and support projects like route-to-market and tests to drive efficiency and unlock growth potential
Business Expertise:
Translate Campbell's Sales Strategy, core business processes, external environment, and the impact the area plays in delivering shareholder value.
Develop timely and accurate forecasts and proactively identifying risks or opportunities.
Communicate with customer sales teams on the business plan including execution vs trade spend and sales impact vs. annual operating plan.
Contribute market knowledge & operational solutions at assigned supply logistics partnership levels across the region as well as support strategic customer HQ calls with key customer teams as needed.
Build rapport and trust with RVP and CVPs of assigned strategic accounts plus other top accounts within area.
Input and understanding and integration of strategic customer AOP and Joint Business Plans that impact the area and local regions.
Plan, coach, and implement compression sales calls to unlock growth.

B.A. required
7-10 years of relevant experience
Strong DSD background on customer side or operations execution side
Experience in operations and sales

Strong technical skills and financial acumen
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$158,600-$227,900
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
