Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team at our A&W brand. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for the food service industry, and the ability to manage inventory effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily operations of the establishment, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Supervise staff, providing training and support to enhance team performance.
- Oversee inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards in food production and service.
- Manage food management practices, including menu planning and quality control.
- Assist with bartending duties as needed, ensuring a high standard of beverage service.
- Utilize POS system for order processing and inventory management.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and collaboration among staff.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and food management principles.
- Experience with bartending and coffee service is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food production processes.
