We are seeking a senior-level Electrical & Controls Technical Leader to serve as a subject matter expert within a centralized engineering function. This role is responsible for driving best-in-class electrical, automation, and controls strategies across a multi-site manufacturing network. You will partner with internal stakeholders, external engineering firms, and technology providers to design, standardize, and implement scalable systems that improve safety, reliability, and operational performance. This position also plays a key role in advancing automation and AI capabilities within manufacturing environments.
- Act as the technical lead for electrical and controls systems across capital projects, from concept through execution
- Provide early-stage engineering leadership on a portfolio ranging from high-complexity upgrades to large-scale greenfield and brownfield expansions
- Establish and continuously improve standards for electrical infrastructure, controls architecture, and automation systems
- Partner with operations and engineering leadership to deliver initiatives aligned with safety, compliance, quality, and cost objectives
- Build organizational capability by leading a community of practice, mentoring engineers, and delivering hands-on training and troubleshooting support
- Collaborate with IT to design and implement secure, standardized OT (Operational Technology) platforms connecting plant systems to enterprise environments
- Monitor industry trends and benchmark emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation
- Lead electrical safety programs, including arc flash mitigation, infrared inspections, and compliance with applicable standards (e.g., NFPA 70/70E)
- Champion engineering work processes, tools, and governance to ensure consistent execution across major capital programs
- Develop and manage lifecycle and obsolescence strategies for controls and electrical systems (e.g., PLCs, SCADA, drives, power distribution)
- Support commercialization of new technologies and lead vertical startup initiatives
